During the cold of winter, it may feel like there is never anything to do. However, if you live in Rosemore Gardens apartments located in Glenside, PA, you will find yourself surrounded by various activities that the whole family can enjoy. Let’s take a closer look at some of the highlights of Keswick Village.

Keswick Theater

The Keswick Theater serves as one of the greatest attractions in the Glenside area. Since its opening on Christmas day in 1928, dozens of other businesses began to pop up around it in what’s now known as “Keswick Village.”

As you stroll down Keswick Avenue, it is hard to miss the Theater with its distinctive Tudor Revival-style facade. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The Theater’s unique character does not end at the exterior – it is also highly regarded for its exceptional acoustics inside. If you are into original bands, cover bands, comedy, or any kind of entertainment, you will find it at the Keswick Theater.

Keswick Tavern

When you are in the mood for some comfort food and a fun and cozy atmosphere, you need to check out the Keswick Tavern. Located right across the street from the Keswick Theater, it is easy to get to and is always a fun spot. If you are really lucky, then you might stop in when there is a live band or DJ!

On a chilly day, their delicious pub food is sure to hit the spot. Stop in for gooey mozzarella sticks, zesty wings, steaming french fries, and of course – an ice-cold beer! Be sure to follow the Tavern on social media to stay up to date on their weekly events and specials.

Keswick Coffee House

Somedays your feet feel like they are dragging behind you. On a day like that, you will want to stop in at the Keswick Coffee House to grab an organic coffee and relax. This place truly has the cozy coffee house vibe you’re always looking for. Filled with green plants and comfy couches, you and your friends won’t want to leave.

The menu is made for coffee lovers but if you’d prefer tea or some tasty food, they have got you covered. Do not overlook the delicious pastries, ice cream, water ice, smoothies, and light fare that they serve as well.

Crate & Press Juice Bar

In 2018, two friends who were inspired by trips to Florida and California came together to create Crate & Press Juice Bar. Located right near the roundabout on Keswick Avenue, this juice bar will make you feel fueled and energized. Crate & Press offers a menu of delicious dishes made from wholesome and tasty ingredients that are sure to inspire you.

Enjoy a flavorful raw juice, a fresh açaí bowl, a healthy wrap, or whatever catches your eye first. And before you leave, you have to snap a picture in front of their “Love, Peace, & Juice” sign with your friends!

Humpty’s Dumplings

Craving something savory? Then you need to give Humpty’s Dumplings a try. These crunchy and juicy dumplings were the brainchild of two friends looking for a late-night snack to satisfy their hunger one night. Though there are now several locations and a food truck across the country, Humpty’s Dumplings is proud to be Philly-made.

You have the option to purchase hot dumplings for now or to buy a bag from the freezer to enjoy later.
