Langhorne Area Parks
Playwicki Park
Playwicki Park is just a 5-minute drive from Orchard Square and is perfect for every age group. Located along the Neshaminy Creek, the 33-acre park is a local favorite for its playgrounds, picnicking, hiking, ball fields, and fishing.

Core Creek Park
Sitting on 120 acres of land close to Orchard Square, Core Creek Park draws you in for many reasons. Here you can find playgrounds, picnicking spaces, hiking, ball fields, tennis, horseback riding trails, boating, and fishing. There is also an off-leash dog park for your well-behaved pup.
In addition to the beautiful scenery, this park has a rich and interesting history. The first owner of the land was Thomas Croasdale, who bought the land from William Penn in 1682. During the American Revolutionary War, a fulling mill on the land was raided by British soldiers who stole the cloth that had been intended for George Washington’s army.
Tyler State Park
Another nearby park is Tyler State Park. Even larger than Core Creek Park, this is the spot to come for a good hike. There are miles of trails along the Neshaminy Creek and beautiful sights. Boating and fishing are also big draws to this park, as is the 36-hole disc golf course. Many people claim this course to be the best in Eastern Pennsylvania.
Thanks to the unique habitats in the park, birders and nature enthusiasts are treated to unique sightings of plants and animals. If you head to Tyler State Park, be sure to grab your binoculars!
