Over 47 million Americans face hunger every day, including one in five children. That’s why Scully Company has teamed up with Move For Hunger to feed communities across the country.
Move For Hunger is a national non-profit organization that mobilizes transportation networks to deliver food to communities in need. Each of our Scully Company communities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New England, and Florida is involved in this impactful non-profit.

How Does It Work?
When residents are getting prepared to move on to their next home, our leasing teams encourage them to donate any surplus non-perishable food items. After our leasing offices have collected a lot of donations, Move For Hunger will come to our communities to pick up the goods.
Every year, 33 million Americans relocate. If we recovered just 1 pound of food from each of them, we’d be able to provide 27.5 million meals to people all across the country.

Looking Forward
As we reflect on the past few months of our partnership with Move For Hunger, we’re encouraged to keep moving forward. Across our communities, residents and leasing teams have stepped up to make an impact on their communities. Several communities have hosted food drives as well as spread information about the program.
Recently, Scully Company’s Westover Club Apartments collected 30 bags of food for families in need in the West Norriton area. This Thanksgiving food drive not only collected donations, but it also spread awareness of the program across the community.
As we head into 2026, we’re incredibly excited to see even more generosity and selflessness across our communities!
